True Verbena Essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the flowering stalks of the plant, and the yield is quite small, which accounts for the high cost of real Verbena oil. The greeny yellow color oil has main constituent is citral between 30% and 45% with limonene, myrcene, linalol, geraniol and others.
