Tangerine Essential Oil, Botanical Name Citrus Reticulata, extracted from Tangerine's crude peel by steam distillation. Tangerine Essential Oil like most of the citrus family, can be depended upon for refreshing and rejuvenating characteristics. Its aroma clears the mind and can help to eliminate emotional confusion. It to be very comforting, soothing and warming. Tangerine may also used in perfumes, soaps, and as an antispasmodic, carminative, digestive, diuretic, sedative, stimulant and tonic agent. The Tangerine tree was grown predominantly in the China, United States and Sicily in Italy. The tree is also very similar to the Mandarin. The oil in color yellow orange and has the typical citrus scent, its fresh, radiant, and tangy sweet. It smells a lot like the Mandarin, with some even considering.

Properties :

Antiseptic, Antispasmodic, Cytophylactic, Sedative, Stomachic.

Mind :

Have an almost hypnotic effect. May well be helpful with stress and tension due to its soothing action on the nervous system.

Treatment :

Content Vitamin C, its medicinal properties are apparently close to Orange, which may go for Mandarin as well. Certainly all three seem to have an effect on the digestive system, dealing with all manner of gastric complaints like flatulence, diarrhea, constipation as well as stimulating flow of bile, thus helping to digest fats. A tonic to the vascular system particularly the peripheral circulation which nourishes the veins and arteries in the extremities, activating tired and aching limbs.

Effect On Skin :

Brings back colour to pale skins due to its re-energizing action on the blood. A useful skin tonic and could help smooth out stretch marks particularly when blended with Lavender and Neroli.

It is similar to other essential oils in the citrus family in that it can be phototoxic. Care should be taken not to expose the skin to sunlight after a treatment. The oil should be diluted well before use on the skin.
