Description

Natural thickener with emulsifying properties, glandular excretion product from bees. Beeswax Granular Refined are suitable for used in cosmetic applications. Has warm, sweet and naturally scented, is a natural substance obtained from the honeycomb of the honeybee. Traditionally been used as an emulsifier for Water-in-Oil emulsions and is now also used to regulate a formulation's consistency, often used as a thickener or stiffening agent in various cosmetics. Beeswax is used as part of the wax composition of solid and paste products such as creams, lipsticks, and pomades. It has some free radical scavenging ability. Its credited with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antioxidant, anti-bactericidal, germicidal and skin softening and elasticity enhancing properties. It can also be used alone for making pure beeswax natural candles, working to improve a candle's color and lengthen its burning time.

How To Used :

Can be used alone for pure beeswax candles or by adding 5% -10% to paraffin wax. These refined natural Beeswax help improve a candle's colour. They also help lengthen the candle's burning time.

Beeswax can be added to a wide variety of cosmetic formulations including lip balms, body butters, moisturisers and ointments. Typical use levels in a lip balm are between 5%-15%, Emulsions 0.1%-0.5%, Ointments 0.1%-2% add to the oil phase. Warm to 61°C to 68°C  (142-154°F)  for use. Soluble in oils and warm alcohol, insoluble in water and cold alcohol.
