Description

Oregano Essential oil botanical name Origanum Vulgare, extract from Oregano's herb by steam distillation. The Oregano oil has a variety of therapeutic properties, but too many hazards are attached to it to make this a good oil for general use in aromatherapy. It is powerful emmenagogue, which must be scrupulously avoided during pregnancy, and it is a fairy severe skin irritant and a very severe mucous membrane irritant. As this virtually rules out use in massage and baths, and as this is not an oil which is particularly useful in burners, vaporizations or inhalation, it is better to use Marjoram for most applications where Oregano may be described in texts.

Well Blend with other Essential Oils Lavender, Rosemary, Bergamot, Chamomile, Cypress, Cedarwood, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus. The note is Middle.
