Botanical name Prunis Amygdalus, extract from Almond fruit by cold pressed refined, is a light, non-greasy, very pale yellow oil obtained through cold pressing almond kernels. It is produced primarily in USA, Spain and Italy. Its contains glucosides, minerals, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E. Rich in protein, Fatty acids. Around 80% c18:1, oleic acid and 28% c18:2, linoleic acid. Can be used as a base oil of 100% percent. Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Sweet almond oil's main constituent is olein with a small proportion of glyceride of linoleic acid. It is very similar in composition to olive oil. Precautions Bitter almond oil should never be confused with or substituted for Almond Sweet oil in aromatherapy. Bitter almond contains prussic acid and can burn sensitive skin.
