Description

Ginger Essential oil Organic, botanical name Zingiber Officinalis. The oil is produced from Ginger's root by steam distillation, and is a pale, slightly freenish-yellow, darkening with age. It smells almost identical to green or fresh root ginger. Principal constituents are gingerin, gingenol, gingerine and zingiberine.

Ginger Essential oil Benefits Used in any condition where the body is coping effectively with moisture. Diarrhoea and catarrh are examples of inability to deal with internal moisture while rheumatism and many of our winter ills are aggravated by external damps and the fiery properties of Ginger essential oil are used to combat this. Rheumatism, arthritis, muscular pain and fatigue can be eased by hot compresses or massage using Ginger essential oil diluted to 1% or 3% only since, as you may well imagine, it is a rubefacient and high concentrations will irritate the skin. Alternatively, add a single drop of Ginger essential oil to any massage blend.

Well Blend with other Essential Oil Bergamot, Sandalwood, Ylang-Ylang, and other spice oils. In small proportions of Ginger oil can be blends well with many others especially Orange and other citrus oils. The note is middle to low.
